Zapojení života na Břidle – Příklady možností obnovy přírodního prostředí lomu Mokrá

Náš projekt je situovaný v lomu Břidla v Mokré u Brna. Chtěli bychom využít jedinečnou možnost zapojit dobývací prostor do okolní přírody jižní části Moravského krasu a dokonce vytvořit na různých místech lomu pestřejší přírodní podmínky. Na poměrně malém prostoru chceme obnovit přírodní společenstva listnatých lesů, jihomoravských lesostepí a díky značné kumulaci a stagnaci vody také můžeme oživit vodní a mokřadní vegetaci.

Projekt dělíme na tři části. V první části provedou členové našeho týmu podrobný monitoring aktuálního stavu území. Na základě těchto výsledků vypracujeme v druhé části projektu návrh – tzv. „studii“ s cílem stabilizovat a zvýšit biologickou rozmanitost a vytvořit pestrou mozaiku různých biotopů v rámci navrhované rekultivace území. V třetí fázi navrhneme, jak zapojit veřejnost a rozšířit povědomí o atraktivnosti biodiverzity v lomech, o moderních postupech přírodě blízkých rekultivací a jejím celospolečenském přínosu. Prostor lomu totiž nabízí možnosti turistického využití s naučnou stezkou nebo oživení formou drobných artefaktů, které budou blízké land-artu.

Spojením všech tří částí projektu poskytneme zajímavé informace z mnoha přírodovědných a biotechnických oborů. Studie bude demonstračním, komplexně pojatým příkladem využití moderních vědeckých přístupů při praktické realizaci ekologické obnovy krajiny po povrchové těžbě.

Tým tvoří třináct specialistů. Zastoupeni jsou botanik, lichenolog, bryolog, mykolog, ornitolog, entomolog, malakolog, herpetolog, krajinný inženýr a odborník na environmentální a ekologickou výchovu. Odborníci budou z různých sfér, ať už univerzit, AV ČR, Správy CHKO Moravský kras nebo nestátní neziskové organizace – Rezekvítek, ČSOP PS Hády, ČSOP Veronica.

Wildlife return at the quarry "Břidla“ – possibilities of natural habitat restoration (Mokrá quarry, Czech Republic)

Our project is situated to the eastern part of the Mokrá quarry near Brno. There is a unique possibility to connect mining area with surrounding nature of the southern part of Moravian karst just in that suitable place. We would like to restore natural habitats of deciduous forests, south-moravian steppes, and thanks to longer water stagnation we have a chance to support also water and wetland vegetation.

We will divide the project to three parts. The first one will be focused on the monitoring of actual fauna and flora in the quarry and its closed surrounding. We will then assemble the basic results of these investigations to the study with the aim to propose a stabilization of biodiversity and to create a mosaic of various biotopes in the second project part. The third part will be highly theoretical, because the mining area is still active. However, we would like to propose some way how to inform public about limestone quarries as hot-spots of biodiversity and about near-natural restoration of habitats in the future. The area is namely suitable for establishment of natural hiking-trail with some small artifacts related to land-art etc.

The final connection of these three project parts will bring interesting information from many scientific and biotechnological professions. We believe that this study will become an example how to utilize theoretical scientific information from different branches of biology, ecology and nature protection in a reclamation proposal.

Our team considers thirteen specialists from universities, nature conservation agency and NGOs Rezekvítek, Pozemkový spolek Hády a Veronica (botanists, lichenologist, bryologist, mycologists, ornithologists, entomologist, herpetologist, malacologist, landscape engineer, specialist for nature conservation and specialist for environmental education).
