Using retired products from the quarry (Spools and drill stem) the team was able to rescue the items and up-cycle them into a functional multi-unit bat house stand. Fabrication was completed after careful deliberation and sizing of the post tops. Transport and leveling of the stand has been finalized and the stand is ready to accept 9-18 bat houses depending on individual design. The team will be able to monitor use and movements between the houses as well as capture microclimate data within the bat houses. Data will be interpreted in the future to assist in understanding the specific needs of the microbats that occupy the houses.
